Bison Electrical started in 2011 installing Solar Panels with 1 van, 1 tradesperson and an apprentice. 13 years on, we have 21 team members, 9 vehicles and our new headquarters in Port Adelaide.
We have had significant growth in the last few years due to a shift in our business model with a focus on relationship based clients who seek a win-win, value-based outcome for both parties.
We strive to ensure we are adding value with a proactive approach to our clients and seeking constant improvement. Asking the questions: How could this result be achieved more efficiently? Could this task be completed safer?
We seek to do things smarter, more efficiently and challenge the industry status quo – all while adhering to the highest of safety and quality standards.
Safety is a high priority to us, we want to ensure all our team members are able to return home to their families in the same state they came to work.
We have developed our own custom Bison Electrical App, that all staff have on their devices. We store all of our SWMS, Take Fives, Incident Reports, Standard Operating Procedures, Processes and Checklists.
This allows us to communicate critical information to our entire team, and ensures each team member is undertaking the necessary daily checks for both safety and quality.
All information is captured in our Project Management Software for review by the management team.
We use a hierachy system to ensure that the least experienced team members are interpreting and understanding the risks and hazards correctly. We believe that information is best understood in small teams, especially for younger team members who may feel uncomfortable speaking up in large groups.
At Bison Electrical we have a strong focus on Quality Management.
We have clearly defined and documented quality standards, assigned responsibilities are regularly communicated and understood.
We have a rigorous plan-do-check-act philosophy, and the business is built on continuous improvement: from the planning stage through to delivery and handover.
The Bison Electrical App is used as a tool to manage quality, along with our Project Management software.
Bison Electrical takes pride in streamlined and efficient operations, ensuring that every project is executed with precision and excellence. Our operational approach is designed to deliver optimal results and exceed client expectations. Our operations begin with strategic planning, where we collaborate closely with clients to understand their goals, project requirements, and timelines. This initial phase sets the foundation for a well-coordinated and successful project.
We prioritise resource optimisation to maximise efficiency. From manpower to materials, we carefully allocate resources, ensuring that each element contributes effectively to the project’s success while minimising waste.
Bison Electrical employs robust project management practices. Our dedicated Operations Manager oversees every detail, from scheduling to coordination, ensuring that projects are executed seamlessly, on time, and within budget.
